Barclay House
Location: Manchester City Centre
Project Type: Residential
Client: Tier 2 Main Contractor
Scope: Hot melt flat roof waterproofing
Area: Approx. 1,000 m²
Year: 2020
Barclay House involved the installation of a hot melt bitumen waterproofing system to a large apartment block roof located in Manchester city centre. The works were carried out for a Tier 2 main contractor as part of a wider residential development.
ALB Applied Waterproofing installed a traditional pour and roll hot melt system, providing a fully bonded and highly durable waterproofing solution suitable for large-scale residential roofs. The system was selected for its long-term performance and resistance to water ingress.
The project was delivered within a constrained city-centre environment, requiring careful coordination and safe handling of hot-applied materials. The completed roof provided a seamless waterproofing layer, ensuring long-term protection to the building below.
